Privacy Policy
In short: your Screen Time data stays on your iPhone, and we never receive it. Sunscroll has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Two things leave your phone: what Apple and RevenueCat need to run your subscription, and any letter you choose to send us.
This policy explains how Sunscroll (“Sunscroll: Screen Time Control”, “the app”) handles information. Sunscroll is made by Roman Hadiiev, an individual developer (“we”, “us”).
Screen Time data
With your permission, Sunscroll uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings) to count time and to rest the apps you choose. That data stays on your iPhone. We never receive it, store it on a server, sell it, share it, or use it for advertising or advertising measurement.
- The apps you choose are given to Sunscroll by iOS as opaque tokens. Sunscroll cannot see which apps they are.
- Usage reaches the app only as thresholds crossed. These are kept in a file on your iPhone, in the app’s shared container.
- The day’s figures under the sky (screen time, pickups and minutes per app) are Screen Time’s own, drawn on your iPhone by Apple’s Screen Time report. They are shown, never sent anywhere.
What stays on your iPhone
These are stored on your device only:
- your settings;
- the sky’s history: the time used (kept as steps), your pauses and your breezes;
- your first name, if you choose to give it. Only the sun’s greetings use it.
Deleting the app deletes them.
Purchases and subscriptions
Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives:
- a random, anonymous identifier created by the app;
- your purchase and subscription history from Apple;
- technical information such as the app and iOS version, the device type, your country or store, and the IP address of the request.
We send RevenueCat nothing from Screen Time, and no name or contact details. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
When you write to us
If you write to us from the app or by email, we receive your email address, your message, and the app and iOS versions the letter includes. We use them only to reply.
Microphone
One pause, “Blow it away”, listens for the loudness of your breath while it is on screen. Nothing is recorded, stored or sent. Sunscroll asks for the microphone only when that pause is used.
Notifications
Sunscroll’s notifications are created on your iPhone.
What we do not do
Sunscroll has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. It does not track you across apps or websites, and nothing is shared with data brokers.
Children
Sunscroll is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete anything we hold about you. In practice, that is the emails you sent us and the anonymous RevenueCat record. Write to support@forappssake.studio.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page with a new effective date.
